November 28 wasn\u2019t a particularly cold day. In the streets of Nuuk, the country\u2019s capital, there was a buzz of anticipation\u2014an unusual sense of excitement for this part of the world. And for good reason. General elections were being held early, triggered by a corruption scandal involving former Prime Minister Aleqa Hammond. At the last minute, and against all polling predictions, her successor in the social democratic Siumut party, Kim Kielsen, appeared in public to celebrate his victory.<\/span><\/p>\n

El 28 de noviembre no fue un d\u00eda muy fr\u00edo. En las calle de Nuuk, la capital del pa\u00eds, se respiraba la expectaci\u00f3n, un ambiente de excitaci\u00f3n extra\u00f1o en esta zona del planeta. No era para menos. Se celebraban las elecciones generales, adelantadas debido a un esc\u00e1ndalo de corrupci\u00f3n que implicaba a la anterior primer ministra Aleqa Hammond.
